Hi Alex,

I wish I knew those magic words, too. One of my therapy goals is not to personalize rejection, I've yet to meet that one as after being turned down for over 100 jobs (11 and counting this year) I can't accept that the perfect person walked in the door right after I slunk out.

My personal goal was to get a job before my birthday, well that came and went. I'll be unemployed for a year in November. So time to give up on that goal.

I agree either you will get on with your therapist or you won't. I lucked out and got on with my first therapist. I'm sorry they make you jump through hoops on fire for the chance to obtain a therapist who might connect with you.

I hope your psychological assessment goes better than you think it will, I'm always negative so I get how hard it is to be positive when the past rejection has hurt you.
