Core Issues

Posted by Daisym on July 1, 2010, at 23:23:21

Do you know what your core issues are? I've run up against something in group that, after much discussion with my individual therapist, we've identified as one of my "core" issues. Essentially I guess my issues are:

1) Trusting anyone with my needs so I don't show my needs
2) Feeling let down when they don't meet these needs I didn't show
3) Feeling all alone in the world because I always get let down.

Tough circle to break.

It was interesting though to talk about these things as "core" issues and look at the pattern. Kind of like Macro-therapy, instead of Micro-therapy - the daily discussion of events past and present.

Anyone else know want to share their core issues?
