The therapy relationship is different with increased frequency. I went three times a week for six years and only cut back to twice a week due to money concerns. I do think you are able to dig deeper and stay at a deeper level from session to session.

You could always try it for a month or so and see how you feel. One great thing about most therapists, they let you set the pace and no decision is irreversible.

I liked going three times a week but am adjusting at twice a week.
