Feeling Hopeless

Posted by catlady on November 24, 2009, at 23:03:14

I am just wondering if anyone has felt like they had reached a point of acceptance about certain things after a lot of therapy, and realized they hadn't and if it is normal to feel like you have taken steps backwards.

This is how I am feeling. I have been in therapy for years, thought I worked through some sexual abuse trauma in my life and had some acceptance about it. Over the last couple of weeks I go triggered by something, now I feel like I am back going through the grief process and feeling a lot of despair about my life.

Starting to wonder if you ever get over something like that.

Anybody who has any ideas please write.
Thanks
