Well, call me a worrywart, but that still sounds like a temporal lobe thing to me. Did you ever discuss it with a neurologist?
Are you withdrawing from any meds? Almost all of my freaky temporal lobe experiences came from medication withdrawal. Particularly mood stabilizers.
