Thanks. I agree--my stepmother's email was just so wonderfully supportive. And the sad part is that no, I did not realize how wonderful she was. I have always given her a very hard time and had trouble believing she cared and have doubted her motives from Day 1. This has been changing recently--we've been growing closer--all this after 30 years of her being my stepmom!
But I let her know how much it meant to me, and I think she knows how grateful I am to her. It makes all the difference sometimes just to know you have support.
