So seriously, you going to let that stop you from posting? You may be no angel yourself, but surely you've never done anything to hurt your friends intentionally.
And wouldn't this be a nice time to remind ourselves how much we mean to each other? Even when we feel insecure, when we wait and hold our breath and wonder what the consequences of this breach of trust are.
You feel scared? I don't blame you. I feel scared too. I'm not afraid to say so. Who wouldn't be scared? It doesn't feel good to tell someone about a personal vulnerability, giving them information in the hopes that they will help you feel better. Isn't that the basis of deep friendships? Isn't that the basis of the therapeutic relationship?
But would you really allow it to sour the community that we have built together? Allow a single incident to undermine all of that? Be brave.
I'm disgusted with myself, personally, but I also know that the only way to heal this rift is to jump back in and keep the relationships I DO have alive and well.
Even though you may never feel safe, that your personal email address and personal data has been cc'd behind your back without your knowledge, you can still be a part of things here.
judgement and prudence and a new name means a fresh start.
just be glad that you have more to your life than this place!
