I find this post a little hurtful :-(
and the previous one too, with the comment about muffy.I think all therapists are different and you can't judge like that...I feel it's not possible to judge without knowing the full situation and the therapist.
My T has accepted lots of gifts from me in the 7 years I've seen her and it's been really important to me. She's made me feel totally accepted, and she's a wonderful therapist.
Every therapist is different, and I think we can't generalize like that...
