Next time I'll bring my binoculars lol! I probably mentioned it before but I'm visually impaired - in the states would be classed as 'legally blind' (although if you saw me you wouldn't be able to tell that I had sight problems) - I guess this is one of the situations that it can be a real bonus lol.
The wife bit didn't really bother me - ok maybe it did a bit - I understand why she blanked me (if indeed she meant to) but it might have been less awkward if she'd just said 'hello', but then again that might just have been worse - I hope it wasn't threatening to her in some way.
