I have no idea how ethical it is, but I do google people if I have idle time. Mostly, it's things like googling the kid who sat behind me in 4th grade, or my high school steady, but I do also google my doctor, my T, etc.

In fact, as part of my current psych class homework, I ended up googling my T, because she's one of the only ED specialists in this area.

Maybe it's OK, since I'm not planning to use the information? I do know it's a boondoggle, and I could use my time more productively, but I don't think it hurts anyone.

And I google myself, periodically, too...
