Thanks Dinah, I think I might try something like that. I think, though, that I still need some way of letting my pdoc know exactly what's still left to be discussed, because I usually don't have the guts to bring up this stuff on my own!

Along those lines, he also accuses me of avoiding what I really want to talk about if ever I try to structure things too much. Unfortunately, it usually isn't true... the important stuff is usually shameful enough that, given a choice, I will talk right around it with the usual complaints. Thankfully he seems pretty open to the occasional brief phone call or e-mail saying "I need to talk about _____. I don't want to. Don't let me get away without doing so." I doubt we'd get anything done otherwise.
