Just realized, part of the reason there has to be distance between therapist and client, and has to be I mean is because how could a T survive it knowin he or she made a fatal error? Right? So, self-defense mechanism says, shut it down. And the best way to do that is through having distance from the very beginning, you know, I mean that authority/subversive distance. THAT's the one I could never ever live with. Because it's b*llshit. It's all a self-defensive mechanism. I'm the authority, not your friend. But really, they should be a friend. you know? And they just can't be, because if they disappoint you, then they've broken a friendship too and hurt themselves. As well as knowing they hurt you.
It's all baloney. The system's just full of ways that lead to corrupt relationships.
