I'm sorry you're in so much pain with your arthritis. I know it can make exercise difficult.

My father has severe arthritis and he did very little exercise for years, but recently he's been advised to do as much exercise as possible. He can't do much at all, but what little exercise he is able to do seems to be helping. He can walk about four times as far as he could two years ago (which still isn't terribly far, but it has made a real difference to his life).

I realise these things don't always apply to everyone, but maybe if you do whatever exercise you can do, it will help a little. I'm just trying to be encouraging; not telling you what to do!

I know you're facing a hard decision at the moment; I'll be thinking of you. I hope it starts to get easier for you soon.
