The weird thing about migraines is that you can get aura without a headache on occasion. Oliver Sacks book "Migraines" is fascinating about all the things that migraines do. I ended up feeling a lot less odd after I read it.

But if you're looking at something upsetting on the computer screen, or something that reminds you of your past, or something that makes you anxious, then that certainly would explain it.

But if the light from the computer screen itself does it, I wouldn't rule out neurological stuff like migraines.

My first sign of migraines was ocular migraines. No headache at all. But spots of lost vision in my right eye lasting about half an hour to forty five minutes.
