Generalized Anxiety Disorder?

Posted by Susan J on December 23, 2003, at 11:47:12

Don't know if this is the right place to post. I have suffered chronic major depression for several years. My symptoms were extreme sadness, slowed-down physically, excessive sleeping, and weight gain. All slowwwwwwww, all sad.

Now, I've got the opposite, kind of. Still bummed on occasion, but have TONS OF ANXIETY. Is this something like generalized anxiety disorder? Can I develop something like that at 36? I worry about EVERYTHING now, can't sleep, wake up with my mind racing about how to try and fix problems at work.

I can't figure out if it's situational -- bad times at work right now, drug related -- switched to Wellbutrin a couple of months ago, or a new problem.

Any ideas? It's really bothersome....

S.
