I was diagnosed with ADD inattentive this year - I'm in my 30's. I wish I had found out about it much sooner, but I'm glad I found out at all. Suddenly a whole bunch of things started to make sense...

One problem was the inattentive type of ADD wasn't classified until recently. Since I was a daydreaming rather than hyperactive child, it was overlooked while I was growing up.

Another problem is that many doctors do not believe adult ADD exists at all. I was lucky in that after bouncing around different doctors for quite a few years, I just happened to go to one whose specialty was ADD. For many years I thought and was told that I was just a depressive.
