Effexor + Seroquel = Weight loss?

Posted by Camille Dumont on August 24, 2003, at 2:26:23

I've been on effexor xr (325mg per day) for quite a while ... more than a year ... but I have been having visual hallucinations so the doctor put me on low dose of Seroquel (25mg per day) ... the visual stuff is still there but for some reason ... I keep losing weight.

My normal weight is 115 pounds ... I have been at that for years and years ... and now I'm down to 105 and sure enough ... I keep dropping .5 pounds every damned week without trying.

It doesn't bother me that much but its a bit scary since nothing in my lifestyle has changed ... I eat the same thing, ... I don't exercise more ... and I'm definately not trying to lose weight. I'm also worried that it doesn't seem to be stopping ....

Has anybody else experience something similar?
