Wellbutrin for Depression and ADHD????

Posted by goodfaith on August 10, 2003, at 12:15:05

For the past 10 yrs. I have been seeing a psychiatrist and only received relief from the combination of Prozac and Klonopin. Prozac pooped out or stopped working for me in the past year, and I also became aware that I have ADHD, which explains why I procrastinate, cant sit still am fatigued without coffee, have trouble reading long passages and the list goes on. I have heard good things about Wellbutrin, and really hope it is the cure to my nightmare. Being that I have an addictive personality and am currently going through a severe depression, in combination with ADHD, I would like to know if Wellbutrin is a good Drug for my problems. I was once put on Wellbutrin, but only 150 mgs. once a day for 3 weeks. The Psychiatrist who I was seeing told me I should of felt better if Wellbutrin was working, so I stopped it after 3 weeks. After careful research on Remedyfind or www.Remedyfind.com and reading posts on this website, it seems to me that Wellbutrin cannot be effective at the dosage I was put on. I have scheduled an appointment to see a new Psychiatrist who was highly reccomended at the end of this month, since I no longer trust my old Psychiatrist. I would appreciate if anyone could tell me what dosage Wellbutrin works for my Depression and ADHD? How long does it take, estimated, for the average person with my problems to see a difference? Finally what are the most common side effects of this medication? Thanks Goodfaith
