Lexapro Study in Cincinnati

Do You Know Someone Who is
65 Yrs or Older
and Suffering From Depression?

Researchers at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center are currently testing the effectiveness of the new anti-depressant medication called Escitalopram. (Lexapro), which is already FDA approved for the treatment of Depression. The study is open label with all participants receiving Lexapro for free for 12 weeks plus study related psychological monitoring. The study requires 8 visits over the 12-week period.

Qualifications Needed:
65 yrs. of age or older
Outpatient status
Diagnosis of Major Depression
Symptoms of Anxiety

Exclusions:
Dementia, Schizophrenia or Bipolar Diagnosis
Active substance abuse or dependence
Clinically assessed as a suicide risk
