The problem really is that you go 'how hard can it be to do x or y or z in New Zealand?'
Because... Nobody is doing it. And because the people they pay to do it, don't do their job.
And so you think that it would be easy to make it in NZ -- right? All you have to do is be competent at that and then you will get the job.
But what I didn't realise is how corrupted things were here that the specific or precise reason that the incompetent person was appointed and given titled and given remuneration was because they would ensure their job was never done by anyone.
In other words, I didn't realise how corrupt things were. In other words, I didn't realise all the energy and effort and work and money that people threw into this whole project of ensuring that all the people in these positions with all this money and all these titles were there precisely becuase they were preventing their job being done.
I didn't realise that people were that f*ck*ng stupid or that f*ck*ng psychopathic. I had no idea.
I just assumed that people were basically bright and kind and so on.
And then I saw... New Zealand.
