I apologise -- it wasn't that the stakes were higher for him than they were for her. The stakes were high all around.

Because it was an extended introduction to any employer about their capacity to be a team-player and to work together to achieve an outcome that couldn't be reached unless they worked together as a team.

She had a legitimate interest in displaying that when asked to do something she could get on and do it and she did not require extensive micro-management or constant checking up on. That was because she was able to grasp the different aspects of the task that were required to be done for her to do her part. She had the capacity to *see* and *understand* that.

I would tend to think (as she did) that OF COURSE she had that capacity. And surely EVERYONE or MOST PEOPLE or MOST COMPETENT PEOPLE (and surely most people are competent) can see / do that. Only... That's actually not true.

THe lady on the other team couldn't be trusted to do the logistics. When she got to a place where she was notified of a problem and something needed to be done and she couldnt' see what to do...

She had a mental block / blackout of the problem. She did not tell anybody else about the problem. So... If you want to hire her... YOu need to provide working conditions that enable her to have continual stream of consciousness / you need to pair her with someone... Yeah...

She was the one who worked in politics.

Huh.
