think about it we pay about $400/month for good health insurance. For me thats 1/4 my pay on top of 30% income tax, thats more than 40%. Plus all the other costs like copays, deductables, etc. We realy need to increase wages for the poor and middle class workers. They are not being paid above poverty line, infact its about !/2 that. You also have to remember I'm from Canada and income tax is the same as USA 35% or so. And they have free health care, paid out of federal income tax. IE universal health care.
