How cool is that that you got to see her in person!
I've always admired her, too, from across the ocean. She is quite dignified, but I suspect she is also warm and kind. I saw a documentary recently about her life. There was a brief clip of her receiving carolers at Christmas at whichever castle she was staying at then. Her smile and welcome seemed so genuine and relaxed, you know, like a real neighbor would be versus, well, the Queen. It was nice to see that side of her too.
