I am 24, diagnosed at 22 with bipolar. I take lithium and cymbalta, which works ok w/ me but for awhile I was having some hypomania so my doc. put me on seroquel. I would be very careful with the stuff if I were you. Everyone reacts to meds differently and I don't want to discourage you, but it was the worst med I have tried so far. I gained 10 lbs. in 2 weeks and so I went off of it cold turkey. I had hallucinations, nightmares and slept walked. I guess it was ok when I was on it, but never miss a dose. Hope this is helpful. Also, what which of your drugs is supposed to act as a mood stabilizer- just seroquel? I was unclear on that. Hope this helps. Good luck with your diagnosis.
