yes indeedie.
i've had considerable luck with reducing pms and bloating and bad mood and heavy bleeding etc with the pill.
i was on it for a few years as a teenager (for precisely that) and it was a WONDER cure. really. really really really. and... instead of having heavy 7 day periods i had a really very light 3 day period. it was great.

then i stopped taking it after a while because i started to have a hard time remembering to take it daily (and if you forget for a couple days then you get your period).

my period has stayed light since then. but the bloated feeling, cramps, and mood stuff has come back since then...

actually... i probably should do that again... it is just that i have trouble remembering to take pills.

i also knew a lady who was on a wait list to have a publicly funded hysterectomy because her periods were really very heavy and she had the worst pain associated that i've ever seen. she would have a couple days off work maybe every three months lots and lots of heavy duty painkillers. she went on the pill and... bingo! she didn't end up having a hysterectomy.

:-)

it is certainly worth a shot IMHO
