Speaking about Islamic (or any) notions of modesty (not that you were) the other day here in Japan a woman was using a mobile phone on a train. My wife and I both watched with great interest. A man came up to her, just another passenger, and said something and she immediately stopped using it. That is the first time I have ever seen someone using one.
