proud you went and joined in anyway. fergit the bozos who weren't appreciative of your efforts. and try to quiet that noisy voice inside that tells you others ppl are better in some way. that is the LYING voice of depression!! (and c'mon, some of your bldg residents who put bowls of candy out probably did so in designer Mexican pottery full of lead...or last year's lollypops so hard by now they're a dental hazard...or bought those trendy but deadly jelly candies that you slurp down like a drink shot...better? nah, just different)
it wasn't easy for you to join in but you did. good for you!! as for "sophisticated NY kids" I think they're just as goofy and sugar hungry as any kid in the USA getting their Halloween fix!
