Hi, PC.

I had the exact opposite experience. I was looking for a deep massage because of chronic muscle strain, and would always get these soft, relaxation type massages.

If you have bad knots or extremely tight muscles in spasm, the type of deep massage you've gotten is very helpful. Often the next day, people do feel sore-- but they say this is is the only thing that relieves the spasm. A lot of dancers have that type of massage.

It's pretty ironic though. My only conclusion is that massage therapists do the type of massage they like to do, no matter what you ask for. It can be frustrating-- or uncomfortable.

Are you feeling better?

Nadezda
