He ordered the tests because I'd had an electrolyte imbalance -- apparently a pretty significant one -- due to a medication he was trying me on. Obviously had to discontinue the medication, and was NOT a compliant patient this time, because he had recommended I go to the ER to get IV infusion of electrolyte solution, but the follow up test showed everything was back within normal range.
And the albumin test was also apparently within normal range, too -- which I suspected it would be, since it really only shows low protein consumption, and mine is fine -- so my worries were for nothing.
Well, not for nothing -- kept me from worrying about, oh, you know -- LIFE! (And school, and getting through finals, and getting gifts finished for Christmas, etc.)
