Oh my word, how great it is to find another stevenson fan.
Cryptonomicon IS excellent - it took me a while to get into it (I was unsure as to the war theme) but it got me in the end. Do you know he has a new book out *RIGHT NOW* ? it's the first in a 'cycle' (the "Baroque" cycle)... tho' dammit i can't remember the title. It makes me look forward to the next bit of my life, which I must say is kind of a rarity. These brilliant ideas coming into my head make life nicer.
