Too much B6

Posted by Lao Tzu on May 30, 2010, at 17:37:40

I'll tell ya this happened to me before using P-5-P. I was using 50mg of P5P over a long period of time and I started noticing that I was becoming overstimulated, too much energy, that it became irritating. When I cut back on the P5P, the overstimulation subsided. I've had the same experience more than once with vitamin B6. I seem to be okay with 150mg per day, but anymore than this, eventually, after a few weeks on 200mg of B6 per day, I start feeling the overstimulation and I try to take something else to dampen it a bit. So all I did was take only 50mg of B6 in the morning instead of the usual 100mg and there was no overstimulation. Coincidence or not? I don't think so because it happened to me before and also once using P5P for a prolonged period of time. So I guess it is prudent not to overdose on this vitamin. I must be sensitive to it. Anybody experience too much stimulation from using high doses of vitamin B6? I guess some people can tolerate it and some cannot.
