I use melatonin 1mg every night at bedtime. If you start using it everynight, eventually you become dependent on it. If I don't take it even one night, I can't sleep. 1mg doesn't make me feel groggy in the morning like 3mg does. You don't really need 3mg if you take it every night. A little bit will do fine. As far as magnesium citrate is concerned, it may help with a more restful sleep, sure! I think Risperdal is helpful for sleep. I also take 400IU of Vitamin E at bedtime, which further helps me. I don't know if it would help you. Also, a little B6 and B1 can help with sleep if you are deficient in these vitamins. I take 100mg of B1 and 50-100mg of B6 at bedtime. They help me. Don't know if they'd help you. Probably if you are deficient. Good luck!
