something's making me fat...green tea? magnesium?

Posted by qqqsimmons on November 16, 2006, at 11:26:15

i've gained almost ten pounds in a month after starting decaf green tea and magnesium after being underweight for years...

i realize that many folks say green tea causes more "thermogenesis" (heat production burning fat), but i believe it also slows the thyroid. i'm not sure which factor wins out in the end.

i think magnesium may help degrade adrenaline, and less adrenaline may mean slower metabolism.

or maybe i'm just eating a lot more, and being less active. am i full of it or does this make sense?
