Hi JLx,
I read you'd tried Maca. I'm considering it for adrenal support based on the idea that its better to take a broad supplement than just cortisol which only supports part of adrenal functon.
I feel I don't need cortisol anymore..like I've recovered enough (no longer vomiting and shaking and walking into walls, getting dizzy etc..well not often and my blood pressure has come up) but I feel like I still need something a bit milder but broader adrenal support.
I also take (like you) Dhea..about 5mg daily on and off...simlar to you in effect. I started at 20mg and that was way too much testosterone!
I know Dhea supports adrenal function too.
I got a DHEA /antioxidant mix made up on my selected ingredients from the compounding pharmacist.
What form of DHEA do you take? I just take caps but I have read that it should be time-released or some take a cream form ..which would also have some time release characteristics?I'm looking for experiences of anyone who has tried maca..or Maca and DHEA.
I've found I can get Maca in Oz (sourced from Peru). I can't get adrenal glandulars over here that I know of..or import them I think.Did Maca help you cope better with anxiety or staying awake or increase your estrogen..like what effects did it have? ..good and bad
thanks, and good to see u back again,
tea
