Acetyl-L-carnitine - bipolar depression?

Posted by SLS on March 26, 2005, at 9:58:17

Does anyone have experience with acetyl-L-carnitine? My doctor recommended it to treat the anergia component of my bipolar depression. I know that it is sometimes chosen to treat CFS.

I'm not sure how much to take. I've seen studies that used 2 grams a day. Expensive.

Any comments?

Thanks.
