I actually read that you were supposed to look directly into the light. I have done that a few times. Hope I didn't do any damage.BTW, I've also heard that there are things you can attach to your head that have these special lights so that you can exercise with this contraption on and kill two birds with one stone.
I also purchased one of those Sunriser things where the lights get gradually brighter in your room so that you wake up to bright light. Supposed to be good for your sleep/wake cycle. It didn't seem to be doing anything for me, however, so I stopped using it.
