You really have to start taking the iron straight way. It's important. The reason it usually makes you nauseous is if you take it on an empty stomach. NEVER do this. Take it with meals..preferably meals with a little meat/fat...but if you take one with lunch and one with dinner ..immediately after your last mouthful of food..you will find it doesn't make you nauseous.
Also go and buy some liquid iron..the paedrictric type and take the adult amounts of this AS WELL with your dinner. This absorbs better than the tablets.
You can get iron injections, but NOT recommended as they sleave a big black stain permanently ..about 1 inch in diameter on your skin...like a tatoo.
It can take 6 months or longer to bring up your iron (ferritin) levels..so don't stop.
Ask for another iron studies with ferritin blood test.
Iron will make you a little constipated..if it does this take some magnesium twice a day too..and/or baths with epsom salts. This will stop the constipation.
Try it..I bet your depression starts lifting within a few days, let me know, OK?
