Hi Lou. How are you, today? It is summer here. I'm enjoying the warmer weather, mostly. We had a weird cold patch a couple days ago... But now it is beautiful, again. It isn't too hot yet, just sunny and pretty. One of the nicest times of year.
P.S., New Zealander's often talk about the weather. It has different connotations for British People... But New Zealander's genuinely care because the weather is so variable it is actually interesting. And because we are fairly out-doorsy and like to engage in things that are weather dependent.
E.g., I'm going to see my mother next week. Probably early... If the weather is going to be fine, then. Otherwise... I'll put it off until later in the week when the weather is likely to be better. Forecasts are more accurate as forecasts get closer so... Keeping an eye on the weather.

If it is fine we will go for a walk in the gardens... Which will be really nice if it is a sunny day. But pointless, otherwise.
