I can only say that it looks like this is a new feature with the latest XP/IE upgrade. It didn't allow clearing the local files before. I don't know what you used to be able to delete (when you asked it to delete the temp files), exactly, but it wasn't all the local files, for sure. That's why those third party software programs were once necessary. Now Mr. Gates has finally seen the light, and he added this new "feature" to his
