Sativa gummies over alcohol with ADs?

I take anti depressants and at the weekend drink alcohol. My wife uses thc sativa gummies for depression and tells me it would be better for me than alcohol. Does anyone have firsthand experience with this and can point me in a direction? Many thanks!
