checking back in, yes it does take gabapentin a while to increase GABA levels in about an hour, then i feel relaxed. Pregabalin is better (lyrica) it works almost instant-immidiately and sources say that many people with generalized anxiety disorder respond better to pregabalin. Nuerontin, from a source i read (and yes i do confirm) " six-times more potent than gabapentin in binding affinity to the alpha2-delta voltage-gated calcium channel"pregabalin is more potent than gabapentin (but it's an anaologue, or a pro-drug from gabapentin)
