According to some more recent studies, phenibut's affinity for gaba-b is low. On the other hand, it has much stronger affinity for calcium channels (the same subtype affected by gabapentin). Hence, phenibut likely more closely resembles gabapentin than valium.
You might have some more help with magnesium (?)
