The epicatechin in cocoa is a SNDRI and monoamine oxidase inhibitor. The beta carbolines are MAOIs. Cocoa also contains N-linoleoylethanolamide which enhances the endocannabinoid system and PEA which has similar actions to amphetamines. The flavonoids can also reduce cortisol

I have a personal stack of foods that I consume everyday, in conjunction with meds to help push me in the right direction. If my average mood is say a 5 out of 10, I'd say my daily consumption of cocoa, coffee and green tea takes me to a 6 out of 10.

Small steps. Stack them together. Baby steps.
