Prozac/Fluoxetine 25+ Year Club

Posted by Ruuudy on March 28, 2019, at 13:12:35

About to join up with the "30+ Year Fluoxetine Club"!

Besides a 6-month hiatus to participate in a Paxil study 20 years ago, I've been taking Prozac/Fluoxetine since early 1990.
It's done some good stuff, but I have always felt there was that little opportunity for a bit more improvement.
Over the years, we've tried various adjuncts - clomipramine (helped with the OCD), clonazepam, a cabinet full of vitamins, minerals, nutraceuticals, CBD oil, large stuffed cheese pizza,,, you name it.

I really, really can't tell you if the fluoxetine is still doing anything at all for me. I'm in one of my shallow valleys, struggling to maintain my persona that I'm sure many of you try to portray - that we're just fine and dandy.
But I'm getting disgusted with myself and my daily pattern of stay up until 3am/sleep until noon. I definitely must change that - I'm in the retail business, and we don't stay open 24 hours a day!

I've been taking Zenzedi (dextroamphetamine) for just over a year now. I chose to request that stimulant because it showed favorable on my Genomind DNA Assay. I think it's given some good benefit. I also think it's what's put me in this "stay up all night/sleep real late" pattern. I'm also wondering if it's pooped-out. Might be time for a change. Ritalin shows favorable as for an alternative.

Just not sure where to go with this. Should I suggest I start very slowely tapering down on the fluoxetine to either a very minimal daily dose (5mg or even lower), or completely discontinue it and start something else?
Both Desvenlafaxine & Vilazodone show favorable green checkmarks on my chart.

Then there's ketamine.
