I don't know who that poster was but, he seems to have information that is not widely available on the pharmacology of mianserin.
Having gone through 10's of books, papers and wikipedia articles - I cannot locate information on the claim that mirtazapine inhibities alpha 2 reeceptors on serotonin neurons, where mianserin does not - making it a serotonergic, where mianserin is purely a noradrenergic.
Does anyone have insight on that subject?
