Probiotics at what dose? 1 billion? 5? 30? 50? It will depend on whether yours is weak or strong.

That said, it is a long term proposition. You do not want to be counting days or weeks. You just start taking and keep taking until 2016. And then, think about whether you want to buy some more. Until then, just take it everyday like a vitamin and forget about it.

I do not think it is going to directly change anything psychiatric in a big way, but it will set the stage, set the road, for everything else you do to work better. Everything starts in the gut.

When someone first tried to tell me that psychiatric stuff is related to the gut I knew it was hogwash. The only problem is, as I later learned in my Lyme journeys, is that is absolutely true. The gut is like the pivot point from which everything else functions, including the brain, including the immune system. So if things aren't right in the gut, which they probably are not in most psych patients, then things are not going to be right in the head either, and no amount of meds are going to totally work until the gut is supported. That's what probiotics do.
