In reply to Resveratrol?, posted by SLS on July 29, 2015, at 9:37:34
Hi SLS,
One thing that really helps me are Cocoa Nibs. This is essentially pure unprocessed cocoa pieces right out of the shell.
I put a link below to product I eat. You basically just put them in your mouth and chew. Its a bit bitter, but not bad.
The reason I mention, is because cocoa is a decent source of resveratrol as well as beta carbolines and epicatechin. The latter of which (like resveratrol) has effects on both monoamine reuptake and monoamine oxidase. The effects of some of these superfoods go beyond monoamines. Some of them have anti-inflammatory effects, effects on CAMP, PDE, PPAR (antidiabetic effects), GSK3, sirtuin (longevity) etc.
I would say that one mouthful of cocoa nibs feels like about 10-20mg of nortriptyline minus side effects. Give it a try, but take it slow, they can be stimulating!
I don't work for the company, and you know me, I have tried everything and generally only report on the best.
