I believe there may be a connection for me. However I'm trying to deal with it using something closer to Atkins than your diet - replacing carbohydrates with fat not protein. Both ways reduce insulin levels. This theory is also consistent with the finding that exercise helps some people also. Reduce insulin resistance by exercise and insulin levels will also go down.

Is it working for me? Who can tell with all the other variables in life? But I have other reasons to eat this way so I'm going to keep doing it. And I think it's likely enough to be worth trying for other people.
