off Cymbalta on to Parnate?

Posted by Elanor Roosevelt on February 25, 2014, at 13:45:41

I've been off Cymbalta for over two weeks. Last week I met with Jonathan Stewart at NY Psychiatric concerning a Parnate study which I may or may not be part of. The dosage in this study is higher than the amount of Parnate I have taken before. But really I am considering it because I feel I have run out of options.

Off the Cymbalta I have been more productive but remain reclusive with lots of backgroud static in my head. Lithium or not I have a quick temper. I yell at strangers on the street if they annoy me(I live in NYC, there are 8.5 million people in my way). But in taking drugs that make me feel sluggish or sedated I do not reach a state of calm or relaxation(has anyone explained that to the medical world?)
One does weary of the parade of meds.

So can anyone remind me of how the initial weeks on Parnate go and what one does to cope?
