OCD after Bipolar treatment?

Posted by Sheilac on October 31, 2013, at 3:59:31

Buspar seemed to be making me more agitated, so my doc upped my Trileptal (extended release) to 1200mg a day and it's great. I still take just 40mg of a Geodon for depression and sleep (she felt sleep was more important than a higher, non-sleepy dose of Geodon).

I seem to need less Klonopin being on a higher dose of Trileptal, but I've had bouts of OCD I think. Times when I go to bed and can't get a song out of my head, etc. I would think this is more OCD because it interrupts me relaxing.

My question is why is this happening, especially since I'm feeling normal and good? Could it be the dramatic drop in Klonopin after several years? Residual anxiety not being addressed?

While I don't feel anxious, anxiety is the only thing I can attributed to these things getting stuck in my head obsessively. Nothing awful, just songs, going over the day, etc.

Any thoughts?
